“Probably every person knows the miserable feeling we think of as nervousness. It has dozens of causes: low blood sugar, a drop in blood calcium, a magnesium deficiency and a lack of almost any of the B vitamins, each of which is essential to the normal function of every nerve in the body.
“Symptoms that are all too familiar – tension, insomnia, irritability, quarrelsomeness, butterflies in the stomach, unsteadiness, trembling, and tingling – have been produced in persons denied vitamin B6. Volunteers made deficient in pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) became easily upset, irritable, quarrelsome, depressed, and suffered from tension, dizziness and numbness and tingling sensations. Similarly, human subjects lacking niacin (vitamin B3), biotin, or any other B vitamin, so readily discarded during refining, have also developed extreme nervousness.
“Calcium is essential for the relaxation of nerve tissue, whereas magnesium is particularly involved with the normal function of the brain, spinal cord, and all nerves. Our average daily intake of magnesium appears to be only half the adult requirement.
“Because alcohol causes a high urinary loss of magnesium, nervousness resulting from this deficiency is especially common among social drinkers. Magnesium deficiencies, produced by meals consisting of ‘enriched’ white bread, macaroni, spaghetti, noodles, tapioca, sugar, honey, and hydrogenated fats, caused volunteers to become overly keyed up, high strung, unable to sleep, and jumpy at the slightest noise.
“Such symptoms – call them nervousness or what you will – palliated (to make a disease or its symptoms less severe or unpleasant without removing the cause) by tranquilizers only become worse. When endured, they bring unhappiness, loss of patience, and irritability. Corrected by simple nutritional improvements, they are often gone in a few days or sometimes even in hours.”

Editor’s note: the best source of the B vitamins is a good quality Brewer’s Yeast. Being a food source, your body gets most benefit from this rather than synthetic forms.
Calcium and Magnesium
In order for calcium and magnesium to be absorbed, they need to be accompanied by some sort of acid like vitamin C or apple cider vinegar. Failing to have the correct ratios and in the right form will result in calcium not being absorbed and ending up as deposits in joints and other places. If you want to really benefit and feel the difference, take it in the right form.
Why Our Instant CalMag-C Works: Instant CalMag-C is formulated in a 2:1 blend of calcium gluconate and magnesium carbonate with vitamin C to adjust the pH so your body can actually absorb the calcium and magnesium. This is very important. Taking it in this way, you can feel the difference literally in minutes.
